Email is the only channel, and it reaches a real person — one person, in fact, who reads everything that arrives:
What is genuinely useful to send
- A calculation that looks wrong. Please include the exact inputs you used — the numbers, the years, the rate. Without them a report is a hunch; with them it is reproducible in about a minute.
- A source that has gone stale or dead. Rules, contribution limits and rates change, and a citation that quietly stops resolving is worse than no citation.
- A calculator that should exist and doesn't — especially if you went looking for it and ended up doing the sums in a spreadsheet.
When a number here turns out to be wrong, the page gets fixed and so does the test that let it through, so the same mistake cannot come back. That has already happened once, from a figure spotted in one of our own guides.
What I cannot help with
Please don't send your salary, savings, debts or portfolio and ask what to do with them. Not because it is unwelcome, but because I am not qualified or licensed to answer it — and an answer from a stranger who does not know your tax situation, your family, your job security or your plans would be worth less than no answer at all. Everything here is educational and deliberately impersonal. For a decision that actually affects your money, that is what a qualified professional who knows your circumstances is for.
What happens to what you send
It is read and replied to, and that is all. Writing here does not add you to any mailing list, and your message is not passed to anyone. There is one person at this address, so a reply can take a few days — corrections jump the queue, because a wrong number on a finance site is the one thing worth dropping everything for.
