Overview

CoinGarden is run by one person — see about — and this policy describes what the site actually does, traced from its own source code rather than adapted from a template. The short version: we collect nothing about you. There are no accounts, no analytics and no mailing list; the numbers you type into the calculators never leave your device. The one exception is advertising, and it has its own section below.

Calculator inputs stay in your browser

Our calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type — amounts, rates, time horizons — are used only to compute results on your device. They never reach our servers, and we have no access to them. A few tools do keep your entries in your own browser so you can pick up where you left off; the next section says exactly which, and what that means.

Cookies and local storage

The site itself does not require cookies to function. Some tools do save your work in your browser's own local storage, so it is still there when you come back: the kakeibo calculator's month (the income, the intention and the expenses you recorded), which lessons of the 30-day path and of the investor-type paths you have marked done, and your currency choice. That data stays on your device — it is never sent to us and we have no way to read it, and it is used only to make those features work, never for advertising or analytics. Clearing your browser data clears it too, which is why the kakeibo tool has an export button.

One third party can set cookies of its own: the advertising described below. It is the only one. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings.

Advertising

This site carries ads through Google AdSense, and that is how it pays for itself. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can turn personalised advertising off at Google Ads Settings, and opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info.

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you are asked for consent before an advertising cookie is set, through Google's certified consent notice. Refusing is exactly as easy as accepting, and you can change your mind later from the same notice.

We do not target ads at anyone's financial situation, and we never will. On a site about money that is worth saying out loud: it is a rule we have written down, not a setting we happened to leave switched off.

Analytics — there are none

This site runs no analytics at all. No Google Analytics, no beacon, no pixel, no heatmap, no session recording. Nobody is counting your clicks or watching how you move through a page. Beyond the advertising script above, your browser makes no request to any third party while you are here — no external fonts, no embedded widgets, no APIs.

That is a genuine trade-off rather than a boast: it means we largely cannot see which tools people find useful, and we would rather learn that from an email than from surveillance. If that ever changes, this page changes first.

There is no mailing list

Nothing on this site asks for your email address, because there is no newsletter to join yet. No sign-up form, no pop-up, no list to be added to and nothing to unsubscribe from. If we ever build one it will be opt-in and confirmed, and it will be described here before the first message goes out.

Your rights — and why there is little to exercise them on

Under the GDPR, the UK GDPR and Türkiye's KVKK you can ask what personal data an operator holds about you, have it corrected or deleted, and withdraw consent. Here the honest answer is that we hold none: we run no accounts, no logins, no analytics and no mailing list, and the numbers you type stay in your own browser. The one place data about you exists is with Google, through the advertising cookies above — which you control through the consent notice and the opt-out links in that section. If you want to clear what this site itself has kept, clearing your browser data for this domain removes all four stored items at once.

Children

This site is written for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and the UK). We do not knowingly collect their data — and since we collect no personal data from anyone, there is nothing to collect.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
